[Faculty of Economics] Guide to Studying Abroad/Application for the Transfer of Credits and Inclusion of Enrollment Period from Overseas University

*This webpage is applicable for 3rd and 4th-year-level students affiliated with Faculty of Economics. If you are 1st or 2nd-year-level students, please contact Hiyoshi Office of Student Services.

Application before/after Study Abroad

Read 'Guide to Studying Abroad' thoroughly.

Application Process

1. Download the prescribed form「 ★Application for the Transfer of Credits and Period of Enrollment (E)_AY2025update」.
※If you are a type AB student, please submit the '★外国大学における取得単位認定願・在学期間算入願用紙(日)_AY2025改' on Japanese website.

2. Check the "■How to apply" section and example page of prescribed form, and fill in the blanks.
※Preliminary check of the documents at the Office of Student Services is not required before the submission.

3. In order to submit required documents, upload the prescribed form and other attachment documents to 【Online Application Form for Credit Transfer and Retroactive Advancement】.
※If you only wish to apply for the inclusion of the enrollment period, you do not have to attach the syllabi.
※When submitting, please carefully read the instructions for each section on the online form (especially for the title of files).

4. After the submitted documents have been reviewed by the Office of Student Services, any corrections instructed should be made accordingly.

5. Once all the documents are prepared, the Office of Student Services will send you an email with instructions to apply for the interview with academic advisor.
※Students are not permitted to apply for the interview before all the necessary documents are prepared and receiving the email from the Office of Student Services.

6. Particapte in an interview with PEARL academic advisor.
※As a result of the interview, the courses and/or the number of credits to be transferred may be modified.

7. If officially approved by the Faculty meeting, the grade will be reflected on the transcript. The timing of reflection depends on the situation.


Cautions for Documents (MUST read before filling out the application form)

*The application cannot be approved without submitting an official transcript. If a transcript has not yet been issued, you may submit a grade report to begin the application procedures, but the final approval process cannot proceed until the official transcript is submitted.

*Application for Credit Transfer without syllabi will not be acceped.

*The following documents should be submitted. Application may not be approved if these documents are not submitted.
・Document certifying the grading system at the host university
・Documents showing the total class hours (e.g. Timetable)
・[Only for foreign language classes] Textbook (In principle, slides, notes, assignments, reports, etc. used in class may not be submitted. However, it is possible to show them to academic advisor during the interview as supporting materials)
